Your First Visit to Overshine:
Here’s What to Expect
Whether you’re a music lover who’s heard about our deep record collection, a wine lover looking for one of the best winery views in Sonoma County, or you just want to spend an afternoon with friends playing board games and drinking wine, you’re going to love your day at Overshine Wine Co.
TLDR: Overshine is built around our shared love of wine, good music, and easy-going company. Wine is better when it’s part of a real experience (an IRL experience, as the kids say), and you’ll feel that from the moment you arrive.
Welcome to the Good Life
You googled “cool wineries in Sonoma County,” rallied your friends to go wine tasting in Healdsburg — and here you are. Before you head inside, slow down for just a second. The music drifting out from the patio is going to tempt you to rush indoors, but before you do that, take a look at that view. On a clear day, the views from the patio stretch out for miles across Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys — rolling vineyards as far as you can see. It’s the kind view that reminds you why you made the trip to Sonoma County in the first place.
We Love Your Record Collection!
Music is a core part of the Overshine experience, and our record collection gets a lot of love. We love all types of music, but soul, funk, jazz, and 80s and 90s hip-hop hold a special place in our hearts.
Go ahead and dig through the crates between sips. There’s something genuinely enjoyable about flipping through physical record albums, checking out the album art, and reading the liner notes. It slows things down in a way that’s hard to replicate.
A Healdsburg Winery with Vineyard Views
Simply put: the patio is the place to be. When we say our Sonoma County tasting room has a view, we mean it. From your seat on the patio, you can see over our estate vineyard and across the valley floor, with incredible views of Geyser Peak, Mount St. Helena and the rest of the beautiful Mayacamas range.
PRO TIP: If you’re planning a visit with a larger group, consider reserving space on the patio. It’s the perfect location for a birthday, wine country weekend with friends, or any celebration that calls for good wine and a beautiful backdrop.
Games, Friends, and IRL Experiences
Remember hanging out with your friends on weekends with a deck of cards, UNO or a board game? We do too, and it’s why we’ve stocked the winery with all kinds of classic games. Connect 4, Yahtzee, Clue, UNO, dominoes, cards, and a few surprises on the shelf, including a Wu-Tang edition of Monopoly that tends to get people talking.
The idea is simple: the best times are the times you’ll spend fully present with your favorite people. No scrolling, no rushing — just a table, a glass of wine, and a good game going. Because IRL > screentime when you’re with friends.
California Wine with Soul
Alright, you know our tasting room is located in Healdsburg, you know we love music and good company, but what about the wine?! At Overshine, we make small-production California wines that are vibrant, joyful, and delicious. All of the fruit we work with comes from family-owned vineyards. And we’re especially proud of our two organically farmed estate vineyards Las Cimas and Il Campo.
If you want to dig a little deeper into our wines, the team is happy to walk you through what you’re tasting in a way that’s conversational and low-key — no expert-level wine jargon required.
On the other hand, if you just came to the winery for vibes, relax and soak them in. No one’s going to judge you on how you’re holding the wine glass, swirling, or what tasting notes you’re calling out.
Come See Us
Come in for a tasting and work your way through our current lineup, each wine paired with one of our favorite songs. Grab a bottle and settle in on the patio with those Sonoma County vineyard views in front of you. Or keep it simple and sip by the glass. However you want to do it, we’ll have a spot ready for you.
Overshine Wine Co. is located at 2201 Westside Rd in Healdsburg
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Overshine a dog-friendly winery?
Absolutely! We love when guests bring their pups along. The tasting room can get lively, especially on weekends, so we do ask that dogs stay on a leash at all times. We also trust you to know your dog best: between the other guests, the music, and the occasional four-legged visitor or two, it can be a lot of stimulation for a pup who isn’t fully comfortable in busy social settings. When in doubt, leave them home and come back together when it’s quieter.
Can I bring my own food to the winery?
We’re not able to accommodate outside food or picnic setups at the tasting room, but don’t let that stop you from arriving hungry. We’ll have you covered with snacks that pair with your wine. After your visit, downtown Healdsburg has a ton of great restaurant options.
Do I need a reservation?
We love walk-ins and we’re always happy to see you — even if you don’t have a reservation. That said, if you’re rolling in with a larger group (7+), go ahead and email us at info@overshinewines.com or call 707-433-2222. For smaller groups, you can reserve on Tock.
Are children allowed at the tasting room?
Babies and little ones in arms are always welcome. For walking, running, fully-on-the-go toddlers and kids, we’d gently suggest this one might be better as an adults’ day out — mostly because the tasting room and patio are shared spaces, and we want everyone (including you) to be able to relax and enjoy the experience fully.
